The Japanese word Reiki has been translated in many ways. Simply put Reiki is “Rei” translates to “universe” or “life force,” and “ki” translates to the physical energy of the body (also known as qi); put together, Reiki translates to “universal life force energy” or “spiritual energy”. A Reiki practitioner is the conduit between the client and this universal life force energy- Reiki flows through the practitioner’s energy field and through her hands to the client bringing deep calm and enabling the body to heal itself.
